With the footing poured and set, it was time to frame up the garage. Karen even got in on the action and tried her hand at the nail gun. After a couple of misfires due to lack of shoulder strength and understanding how the gun's safety actually works, she finally fired 4 nails on her own. Our next building inspection is on the 30th, then windows, doors, electrical and insulation pictures will follow as they are completed.

Just Hangin' Out
Ginger is a dog who loves to cuddle, especially after someone has spent time playing tug-of-war with her rope bone or other such "exciting" games. Here she is cuddling with Justin after they had a wrestling match in the living room. Ahhhh quality time....

More Reno's
Currently, we are in the process of turning our carport into a garage. Daryl and I spent last Sunday pouring cement into forms that will create the footings for the garage wall. Thankfully, Daryl's friend Sheldon loaned us his cement mixer, as it took 825 kg's (1815 lbs) of cement to fill the forms. After much re-bar, anchor bolts and sweat, we had the footings built with very few problems other than a few muscle cramps. Here are a few action shots.
