So Many Choices...

Two of Ginger's favorite things to do are play with her rope bone and sit and watch the neighbourhood through the front window. Recently she has begun to do both at the same time. We're not sure if it's because she can't decide which activity she wants to do, or if she's simply "multi-tasking". Daryl believes that "multi-tasking" is how I (and many adults with A.D.D) refer to this type of behaviour , so as not to make themsleves feel bad about trying to accomplish seventeen things at once, while in the end, not actually completing any task at all. I tell Daryl that all females end up this way (canines apparently included) so it must be man's fault. haha.

Home-Away-From-Home

Well we finally decided what we were going to do this year for fun. Since the Island has lots to offer for camping and all of us love the outdoors we decide to buy a trailer. It is used and older but very clean and all the appliances work well. Here are a few shots of it. I don't know who is more excited to get out there, the kids or us.

New Windows

So, for all you easterners, we mean (win-ders). We figured after having the wind whip through our single pane "thermo windows", and after having to turn up the volume to hear the TV, we thought it was time to renew the glass. Here are a couple of shots of the dining window(er) with the old brown aluminum, and the new vinyl. The funny thing is that we can still hear the wind because we chose to leave the big'un until the fall when we have more cash (thank goodness for the woodstove, eh Val).

Poor Little Sickie

The kids and I (Karen) are just getting over strep throat, pink eye, an ear infection and a various assortment of colds, sniffles and general feelings of "blah-ness." (Thank goodness for antibiotics!) As we are all starting to feel better and get on with things, Daryl (and his invincible immune system) has finally succumbed to what's going around and has spent the last few days feeling generally unwell. haha. No, just kidding, but when you are the one who is sick and someone around you is all healthy and chipper and driving you nuts, it warms the heart to see that same person feeling crummy a few days later. (I must have kissed him when I was still contagious.) Sorry my love (giggle,giggle).... Here he is trying to warm himself by the fire. And here is Ginger being a big suck as usual. But what a cute picture!
